Extreme & Hard to Locate Sports

Planning for the suitable location of sport facilities which are hard to locate

Motor sports, trail bike riding, horse sports, skating sports, shooting and target sports, rock climbing and model aircraft flying including drones. What do all these activities have in common?

Despite the fact they are all adventurous, fun, exhilarating and interesting, finding a suitable location for them to operate safely can be a major challenge for local Councils and other public agencies. However, if they are not adequately planned for and managed then they can cause further issues. These include public safety and risk, noise, dust, environmental damage and land-use conflict.

By properly planning for and developing strategies to mitigate these issues and finding suitable sites and areas that are well buffered, fit-for-purpose and adjoin compatible land-uses, enables these activities to be participated in safely without negatively impacting on other people and the environment.

“SkateSA engaged Tredwell Management to undertake a Feasibility Study for Rollerskating Rinks in South Australia. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tredwell Management and their team as I have found them to be very professional, easy to work with, at all times and prepared to go the extra distance in obtaining information. Neil & Belinda both showed a great understanding of sport and any existing or future plans for sporting facilities. Our study was delivered on time and budget and therefore met all our requirements”
Jackie Blyth, Development Officer, Skate SA
