Tredwell have expanded rapidly across Australia over the past few years, driven by the increased demand for improving sport and recreation facilities, trails and open spaces across the nation. This has been strongly influenced by the recognition by all tiers of government of the importance of getting active and to improve physical and mental well-being. Although it has been well understood for many years that participating in group or individual sporting and recreational pursuits is important for maintaining physical and mental health, the pandemic has re-enforced the importance of remaining connected and active and we want to ensure that it is here to stay.
Tredwell have staff based across Australia. With our previously Melbourne based consultant and landscape architect Aidan Power recently relocating back to Auckland, New Zealand to be closer to family, we have now opened our Auckland Office within the heart of the CBD with spectacular views across Auckland harbour and the city skyline.
Our team have successfully completed many hundreds of sport, recreation, open space, trails, aquatics and hard-to-locate sport projects including strategic and master plans, business cases, feasibility and needs studies in all states of Australian and now are taking our experience overseas to New Zealand to continue to spread our vision of ‘connected, happy, active people’.
Now with an office in New Zealand and a permanent staff member with excellent knowledge of the country including its existing landscape and environmental context we look forward to tapping into New Zealand’s exciting and world-class sport and recreation industry and exploring opportunities with government, peak bodies and the private sector.
Neil Tredwell and Aidan Power recently attended the Recreation Aotearoa National Conference in Nelson and were fortunate enough to meet many of our future colleagues and clients and listen and learn from many passionate and informed speakers. They also found some time to do some exercise at the local mountain biking park in Nelson. #Codgers MTB Park
