Wollondilly Community Sport and Recreation Needs Strategy
Current
The Wollondilly Community Sport and Recreation Needs Strategy is a ten-year Shire strategic plan. The strategy will enable a strategic and outcomes-based approach to the development of community sport and recreation infrastructure within the Wollondilly Shire Council, and directly address the challenges of a changing community profile, urbanisation of rural areas and the pressures on existing community sport and recreation infrastructure.
The Strategy will guide the next ten years of infrastructure planning and programming. The intention of the project is to understand the current and future Sport and Recreation needs of the Shire and ensure a sound strategic base to advocate for funding and resources from internal and external sources.
The Strategy provides the Shire with a framework by establishing best practice benchmarks and an action plan to meet the needs of the current and future population of the Shire.
