Southern Fleurieu Regional Sport and Recreation Precinct Feasibility and Preliminary Design Project

Feasibility & Needs Assessment

The Southern Fleurieu Regional Sport and Recreation Precinct (SFRSRP) Feasibility & Preliminary Design Project provides a clear direction for the City of Victor Harbor and sporting clubs regarding the scope and viability of a precinct that includes new indoor recreation and sport and outdoor field facilities. It provides a sound basis for Council to proceed with the detailed design and development of the precinct.

The preferred option was costed by a quantity surveyor and 3D perspectives (designed by Grieve Gillett Anderson Architects) were developed to assist with communicating the design to the community and stakeholders.

The Project identifies suitable partners, funding strategies and opportunities to bring to fruition a facility that will meet and respond to the needs of sport and recreation well into the future. It also provides the basis for future business case development and support grant funding applications and allocations as opportunities arise.

The SFRSRP will service a regional catchment which includes the City of Victor Harbor, Alexandrina and Yankalilla Councils.
