This report investigated the feasibility of developing a drag racing facility in Kalgoorlie- Boulder and whether or not previously secured federal government funding could be invested into the development of alternative motorsport based opportunities that are more readily available and accessible to the local community.

The outcomes of three major consultation processes (which included an online community survey, community forum and motor sport stakeholder forum) all supported the establishment of a purpose built drag strip facility in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region.

The report outlined a number of major issues that would require addressing in relation to the development of a dragstrip facility:

• The high cost to develop a dragstrip facility and associated infrastructure
• The ongoing operational cost of managing a dragstrip facility
• Determining a suitable location for the development of a dragstrip facility
• Establishing/finding an organisation to viably operate and manage the dragstrip facility
